The Humanity - Bass Linear

Bass Linear by The Humanity

4...according to our on Thu 13 Mar, 2008.

Odd old 7" from The Humanity. 'Bass Linear's got a bit of an 80s feel & lands somewhere betwixt Les Savy Fav (in the chorus) & The Robocopkraus. Sorta melodic electro pop rock with compressed squalling geetars & an exhaustive drum machine. It's got an edge, a bit of spunk & attitude. I'd like to see the storm they'd kick up live as they've got a pretty 'now' sound & plenty of energy. Perhaps a complaint is the vocalist doesn't let up for a second so i can't feel the music as much as i'd like. Haven't got time to do the flip properly but it's quite different, a bit Long Blondes-y (lady on vox this side) with an escaped wasp stuck in the wah wah pedal & a spiky post Bloc Party disco punk funk sorta edge. I like both sides to be honest so look out for them. Make them happy by checking http://www.myspace.com/thehumanity
