Operator Please - Yes Yes Vindictive

Yes Yes Vindictive by Operator Please

Thought i'd come home, have a curry & lie down. Imagine my surprise as my dreams turned into a blurred toytown downer where all the bands sounded like cheerleaders who'd just heard The Go! Team & The B-52s for the first time & have become convinced by their skills down the local roller disco karaoke barbie in the hockey field last Fall! I chortle as they all proceed to drink too much cherry lambrini & decided to form a vacuous, mildly diverting bar band!! Operator Please just make You Say Party! We Say Die! & early Rogers Sisters sound even more feral & urgent as I suspected they were when they made my head first go ping! 'Yes Yes Vindictive's creators held a multi page interview extravaganza in Artrocker last week but judging by their daytime radio appeasing cabaret indie-rock-pop lite it's probably full of talk such as "Well our mums came to see us last night and cried! They were soooooo proud! Kelly's mum even had 3 glasses of wine & was a bit tipsy! Golly! And Josh actually FELL ASLEEP whilst playing badminton on his Wii! WHEEEEE! Blimey. Someone give me the antidote PLEEEEAAASSSEEE! CD, maybe even a waste of vinyl on Brille! Every song on this album makes me think of a much better song by someone else. Sorry.
