I think I reviewed something By the Rank Deluxe a bit ago... I could be wrong though as the one brain cell I have left is slowly diminishing. Onto their single 'Tight-Rope' this is a testosterone fueled oldskool London punk track with the south London accent prominent. It doesn't rally move me but it has balls I'll give it that. Bristling with attitude and at war with themselves, The Rank Deluxe boldly hail from south east London, sharing as much of an affinity with Grime or old school UK punk as they do with any of their supposed musical contemporaries. Taken from and preceding their astonishing debut album produced by Mark Rankin (Kate Nash, Adem), ‘Tightrope’ delivers a fresh but familiar slant on their oeuvre, with vocals duties taken care of on this track by guitarist Lewis Dyer.
The single is backed with uproarious live favourite ‘Steal My Soul’, which is exclusive to this release.
All three previous singles made John Kennedy’s single of the week, and the band have recorded two sessions for him to date. Plays from Steve Lamacq and Rob Da Bank on BBC Radio One.

What a top tune from south Londons finest, I can not wait to get a copy of their new album they are going to be massive...according to Red devil.
Wicked stuff cant wait for the album to be released in May..
