Music Is Matter is the debut effort for West Midlands duo Eight Pence Chains. Although a mix of many different electronic styles, Music Is Matter mainly revolves around hip hop (check out 'Four Twenty Fax' with guest MC Neil Giles), trip hop (the Tricky-esque 'Equs Cabili') and drum and bass (the staggeringly good 'Load Universe'). This is perhaps our most accessible release yet, but that is in no way a bad thing. Quite the opposite actually. It is a highly accomplished and engaging piece of work, and a very promising start indeed.
