OVERVIEW: Reigning Kings (and queens) of punk and hardcore, F**ked Up return with their mammoth single, 'Year of the Pig' - an 18 minute 34 second long prog-punk masterpiece. The release will be backed with 'Black Hats' and available on Ltd Ed 12" ONLY on 25th February via Vice Records. Please note only 500 copies will be available in the UK, NO other formats aside from the 12" (that includes CD and digital) will be available on this release! In addition, the band will be on tour in the UK variously with Gallows as well as headline shows in their own right in February, the latter of which are still to be confirmed. With reference to Sex workers rights in Canada, Year Of The Pig features lush piano and organ arrangements by Max Danger (The Deadly Snakes) and guest vocals by Toronto's Jennifer Castle. Beginning with a gentle guitar and soothing organ before heading into darker territory with Pink Eyes gruff vocals offset by Castle's angelic singing and a meandering bassline. It's not until a full 7 and a half minutes in that the track explodes into a Keith Moon-esque drum workout, which is followed by a one note neu trick that builds up to a thrash attack. It's 'The Wall' as written and recorded by Poison Idea. F**ked Up are as dangerous as they are unpredictable, they're the real deal.
