What we say

Rating: happy This record left our Brian feeling happy.

Xerox Teens are back under their sneaky XX Teens moniker. It'll be funny when they're bigger than Xerox and can buy their name back. I hate corporations me. Set of winkers. 'How to Reduce Chances of Being A Terror Victim' is a perplexing 'comeback' single as it ditches their wonky safari indie in favour of Beatnigs/Consilidated style political rhetoric, all funky semi-industrial cowbells & baby Ministry guitar samples!! But it doesn't sound particularly macho but DOES sound very 1988 hahaha! The lyrics are bizarre, like a hyper Jonathan Ross frantically reading out some survival manifest. It's a bit mental like. A complete shift in style so theiy're obviously trying to throw their rabid fan base off the scent a little. what curious chameleons these boys are! Ltd to 500 7"s only on Mute Irregulars. 1 PER PERSON!!!

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.

'have you got your onions?'
