Brent Cash: 'How Will I Know If I'm Awake' (Marina) Ten track swinging sixties style pop with a polished, slick production. The music is so lushly produced it sounds like a collage of all the most symphonic sounds on a European music library label. Our man at the helm makes an instant comparison to The High Llamas, furthermore if you liked the recent soundtrack: 'La Vie D'Artiste' by messers Gane and O'Hagan then you'll like the breezy, unchallenging almost cheesy approach to over produced pop Mr Cash provides. It's almost a brand of easy listening, queasy if your tastes are a little challenged by all things bright and beautiful. If you're a fan of Brian Wilson take note. If you like your music with a high percentage of e numbers, rich in the cliche gravy then here you go...jeez you should see the list of instruments played on this!
