Featuring Kelson’s now trademark fuzzy bass sounds and Andy ‘Falko’ Falkous on keyboards, coupled with Jack’s thunderous drumming, it’s easy to see why ‘Manchasm’ has become a firm live favourite with an ever increasing hardcore of fans, featuring the unforgettable refrain “Colin is a pussy / A very pretty pussycat!”
‘Suddenly It’s A Folk Song’, perhaps one of the band’s catchiest songs yet, opens with a blast of fuzzy keyboard lines, before Jack and Kelson come crashing in, and finishes with the immortal kiss off “Leave your pride in the cabinet / Pay the man and be done with it / Now we are not worthy of pith / Face the facts we’re back in luck / Turn on the light and wake me up / Now we are not burdened by love”.
