What we say
This record left our Ant feeling happy.
Adam Green looks far too young to make the music he does. He's a fresh faced whipper snapper yet he croons like Sinatra. I guess it's a timeless style though. 'Sixes & Sevens' are some moments that are a bit country with a huge dose of stinky gorgonzola. Billy Ray Cyrus was just mentioned. His songs are interesting though with some good black humour and occasional heartwarming bits...Kinda like a more light hearted Richard Hawley at times. CD with vinyl to follow on Rough Trade.

“I wanted to make an album that you could put in a car and drive across country to” – Adam Green
Sixes
& Sevens is your friend. From its hip-swinging, sassy grooves to
its soft-to-the-core lovesongs, Adam Green’s fifth solo album beams
with warmth and welcome - consider it a call to dance, drive, or just
down tools. Adam is the songwriting genius son of New York brain
surgeons. He is a huge star in Germany. His previous band Moldy Peaches
features on Academy Award nominated hit film Juno which is currently
taking US Box offices by storm (the soundtrack is currently a US Number
1).
