What the label says:

Model Horror are five guys from Hertfordshire who collided together at late night parties and during early morning journeys home. A shared passion for music cemented their friendship and fronted by the dual attack of Ian Larter and Rob Hardy (guitars / vocals) with a backbone comprising Jonny Flynn (keys / synth), Craig Miller (bass) and Simon Smith (drums), they set about building what they describe as ‘tronic wired tunes’.
The name Model Horror refers to a pretty girl that turned out to be a ghastly mistake! According to Ian, “the songs and what we do are fuelled by interaction, living for the moment… Sometimes it’s good and others it’s down right scary.” The music and imagery they create feeds off of their experience of growing up in small town England, where dark secrets and hidden lives are concealed behind manicured lawns and polished MPVs.
With a growing army of supporters, including Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens on Radio 1 who the band have recently recorded a session for, the buzz is spreading. Live shows have included a summer rave on the beach in Cornwall, playing by torch light in Epping Forrest and more conventional supports alongside Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Autokratz and Look See Proof.
‘We Are Here’, the band's debut single, will be released through This Is Fake DIY Records on 17th March 2008. Backed with ‘Stand Still’, it will be available on limited edition 7” vinyl

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
