Great single. First heard them on the Revolution and Clint Boon often plays them On XFM. Can't wait for the to release an album.

Rambo and Leroy are the next big thing. If you like bands such as New Order and Doves then you will love this band.Their sound is guitar driven, backed by great vocals, and is a sort of epic uplifting sound. There will be more to come from this band, and if you like this single then you will like their EP even more, available on ITunes now.

What the label says:

Limited Edition 500 only. Debut single from Manchester based trio Rambo and Leroy. Last One Standing is an indie anthem of the highest order. This debut perfectly demonstrates their euphoric dance 'n'  rock 'n' roll  sound.Already tipped to be one of the success stories of 2008 by XFM'S Clint Boon who continually plays their XFM session on his evening show and told the head of music " This is a single i would sell my kids for ".  The b side Oceans is a beautifully crafted accoustic song which proves their ability to write tracks with heart and soul. Rambo and Leroy have also supported New Order in 2006 and from this Jake and Matt Evans, the two brothers in the band are currently writing and recording material with Bad Lieutenant whose other members include New Order's Bernard Sumner, Steve Morris, Phil Cunningham and Alex James ( Blur).  Keep a look out for the fruits of this project and for the second single from Rambo and Leroy which will feature Bernard Sumner on guest vocals. ENJOY !

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
