Yes. I have a single after all that. and guess what? It's a bit shit. Relatively anyway. Yila ft. Scroobius Pip have released a kinda electro Kid Acne style job called 'Astronaut' with a digitally twisted kids voice warbling "astronaut" on the chorus. The rapping terrible, really pedestrian sub-Skinner dross (perhaps this is the whole point..?) In fact this whole record is the bleating's of some goon who really needs to grow up. After Gescom pointlessly re-jigging Kid acne, Clark has a go at this, providing some quality beats over the novelty English rapping. Now, Acne actually has some real integrity. This indie-hop silliness on Rob Da Bank's Sunday Best imprint i'd have liked when i was 12. Go figure......One half of stars-of-2007 duo, Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip, releases a new side project in his inimitable style, intricately blending spoken word with electro beats, mixed by hotly-tipped new producer Yila.
