I really disagree with the guy who posted that awful comment about the lads. I know two of the band really well and they are really talented!! I loved "Heart of Glue", In fact, its probably my favourite song to date! It is amazing!! I would definately recommend other people go and get it! =] Keep working hard lads xxx

What we say

Rating: angry This record left our Brian Dangerflounce feeling angry.

It's 7" central round my house today. Well, this desk & laptop is "my house". The others live in a mansion downstairs whereas I prefer this dusty shack full of acid casualty badgers & 1 legged pigeons. No crack foxes however, thank frick. Mings draws parallels with The Coral's new single when listening to this limited 7" by Man From Michael. 'Heart of Glue' does nothing to fix my broken heart. Not even by coating it in extra strong air-fix adhesive. No never. This is sub-Doves radio fluff of the most banal kind. I've heard every chord change a million times. It sounds like some sorry affair from the mid 70s & I want to beat them to death with an inflatable lumphammer full of plaid shirts & MOR Dadrock albums. Honestly, this is bad news if the best the Liverpool new breed is this. HELP!

What the label says:

Produced and mixed by Mike Crossey (Artic Monkeys).   •Enigmatic, sometimes manic lyrics of love, loss, and growing up.
Gigs to date include support slots with The Zutons and Happy Mondays, as well as their own current UK tour.
Popular online tour videos shot on a mobile phone have attracted the attention of Myspace TV. The band are now filming an exclusive piece for MySpace’s new Earwig feature.   •Strong response from regional radio across the country.  •Sticky Heart Tour covering venues across the UK including as far away as Stornoway.   •“Man From Michael are more often compared with the likes of Crosby, Stills & Nash than their Merseybeat predecessors or any of the city’s current crop of popsters” - Inverness Courier.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.

'I swear there should have more change from a fiver than what I got.'
