Do It Better by Correcto

Glasgow art punkers Correcto have a single, 'Do it Better' out on Domino. These guys comprise members of Franz Ferdinand, The Royal We and Par Cark. It's good old fashioned post punk pop type gear that has drawn comparisons to the Buzzcocks and The Ramones. It does have a kind of anthemic sing along quality to it, catchy, passionate and infectious and the more I hear it the more I reckon these guys actually have attitude. 'The Plan' on the the flipside is also worth a punt. Like all good B-sides it is less immediate than the A-side and has a chorus catchier than the clap.

Second single from Glaswegian four piece Correcto – who feature members of Franz Ferdinand, The Royal We & Par Cark alongside leader Danny Saunders. “Art punk brilliance” – The Sunday Telegraph.
Following on from the stunning debut single ‘Joni’, Domino Records are proud to present ‘Do It Better’, the second single from Glaswegian four-piece Correcto.   •The band act as a who’s who of the Glasgow creative scene, with the members inspired by fact, fiction, surrealism and the mundane; and with sounds reminiscent of the Buzzcocks, Kinks, Fall, Ramones, “all the good stuff” as Danny Saunders puts it, the driving force who writes and sings on the Correcto tunes.
‘Do It Better’ is another instant classic - a direct, punchy sing-along-anthem. Written by frontman Danny Saunders, he was inspired by the numbing effects of going about everyday business - trying to do the best you can - yet never quite achieving what you set out to do that particular day. The result is an infectious and irresistible slice of art-punk-pop.
The band have been doing shows scattered across the UK since the release of the first single Joni, playing SWN festival in Cardiff, Rough Trade East and Durrr in London, as well as playing numerous gigs across Scotland, including an intimate show supporting Franz Ferdinand in Glasgow.
Correcto will be out on tour throughout the UK in February; dates to be announced
