2 Song 7 by Soft Shoulder

5...according to our on Thu 21 Feb, 2008.

Gilgongo release interesting records as a rule and here's another one by Soft Shoulder. I can't quite get the image of a soft shoulder out of my head... one shoulder being all strong and supporty... the other one being a flaccid waste of space not capable of wrestling with a fly. This is a cool 7"... reminds me of those old 7"'s on Dark Beloved Cloud from the early 90's... Think God Is My Co Pilot, Chia Pet.... this is well bonkers. I remember going into record shops when I were a nipper and getting well excited about records like this. Them were the days.... Am off to pick my brain back up and sew it into my head as it's fallen onto the floor in some big nostalgic mess. Fortunately I'm not soft shouldered... Noisy catastrophic messy fun... In hand painted sleeves ..Lovely.

TWO NEW SONGS FROM ARIZONA'S SOFT SHOULDER, WHO PLAY LOUD AND NOISEY BUT EQUALLY CATCHY NO-WAVE POST-PUNK (X-RAY SPEX, CONTORTIONS, SLEETMUTE NIIGHTMUTE). THE A-SIDE BEING ONE OF THE ORIGIONAL SET'S STAPLE, "MARY ANN", WHICH ORIGIONALLY SURFACED IN THE FORM OF A MUSIC VIDEO ON A DNT VHS COMPILATION WITH SHEARING PINX AND OTHERS. THE B-SIDE IS A SLIGHTLY LONGER PIECE, THE OLD SET'S STAPLE CLOSER, WITH A LONG, CLEAN AND BROKEN BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED SKRONK. HANDMADE COVERS (SPRAY-PAINT, STENCILS, COLLAGES, BURNS, STAINS, ECT) MADE BY THE BAND
