What the label says:

Domino Recordings release this ‘jewel-in-a-case’ to mark its 15th anniversary, featuring rarities from your favourite artists, new songs from new signings and hard-to-find B-sides. ‘All The Rage’ is all that’s up and coming in the world of independent music. The album compiles an exciting collection of rarities, hard-to-find B-sides and never released tracks from Domino Recordings’ eclectic roster.
The sampler reflects the history of the label as well as representing its future by showcasing recently signed artists like Animal Collective, Paul Thompson (Franz Ferdinand)’s Correcto, Cass McCombs and Wild Beasts.
Ex-Fridge member Adem’s magnificent Breeders cover from his new album ‘Takes’. Clinic’s eerie disfigured M*A*S*H* styled theme of ‘Christmas’ (taken from last album ‘Funf’). Stephen Malkmus’ ‘Dragonfly Pie’, a plunge into the Pavement man’s fourth solo album.
Pram’s atmospheric waking-but-still-dreaming musical adventure in widescreen ‘Moonminer’.Brazilian sensations Bonde Do Role and ex-Test-Icicles solo project Lightspeed Champion are also present; Mark E Smith meets Mouse On Mars outfit Von Sudenfed are featured with a B-side never released on CD, as well as a glimpse of Four Tet’s Kieran Hebden’s collaboration with soul legend Steve Reid.
Who else to give this tribute a special dimension than the worldwide acclaimed Arctic Monkeys and sensual rock duo The Kills? The former perform a majestic stripped down version of Shirley Bassey’s ‘Diamonds Are Forever’, a track exclusively available on this sampler.
The Kills offer new single ‘U.R.A. Fever’, recently released as a limited edition 7”. ‘All The Rage’ will be of great appeal to the Domino fanbase, independent music aficionados and Arctic Monkeys worshippers, as well as to people keen to discover the Domino roster for a meagre price.

About the humble CD:

The CD is essentially a small portable face mirror which has an extra feature of being able to play music (through a thing known as a CD player). These CD's are a modern invention hence them being all shiny and digital. They can hold about 80 minutes of music and apparently are indestructible as you can smear jam on them and they still play (not as nourishing as toast mind you but when you're hungry.....). They sound crystal clear and are tiny convenient things. They lack the charm and warmth of their old analogue counterparts but their portability, convenience and ease of being duplicated make them a perfect thing of a thing for most folks. Jewel cases are the worst thing ever though and they really need to stop.

'Guilty feet aint got no rhythm.'
