Now I'd love to say something hilarious about this CD on Blackest Rainbow by Chora. Like it's a chore to listen to. But for experimental music, this has got me quite gee'd up. Not as much as the frankly brilliant Sunburned LP. But it's got me thinking of new genres such as Oceanfolk. Or Codsperimental music. Or someone slightly warped freaking out at a level crossing in the middle of a desert or by an awfully still, black as night lake at 3 in the morning, all feral & dusty in a bloody loin cloth, howling at the moon. Yes this is creepy music, stacked with psychotic, animalistic outsider menace. The percussion sounds like a rusted oil drum being hit with a raccoons spinal cord whilst a horde of seriously haunting spectres drift pass moaning into the still, heavy atmosphere. Or perhaps it was just made by goblins as Ant suggests. There's further stuttering, disorientating abstraction to come but the first track is worth the admission price alone to this ghost train. 44 copies, soaked with the juice of lost souls.

New CDR from former Sheffield post psychedelic noise... gnome vocal churns, fucked whirs, bleeps, vague hobo drums, tangled broken instrumentation and fucked death snake charm wiggly-ness. One of Chora most hazily surreal weird slabs of jammery. Limited to 44 copies in traditional Blackest Rainbow stylely on red flecked newsprint like paper.
