What the label says:

The path-treading encounter of Massimo Pupillo, Chris Corsano and David Chalmin - rock/noise/experimental improvisers - with the universe of the 50s cult science-fiction radio show Dimension X. Based on stories from the show, each track unfolds the strange world of thinking machines, robots, chaos, Martians, madness ... and humankind’s quest for emotion, truth and hope. Building on many hours of raw, instinctive and live improvised material, David Chalmin returned to the studio to create an album of great personality.. -    The song ‘The Martian Chronicles’ is included on The Wire Tapper 18, the compilation that celebrates the 25th anniversary of The Wire printed in 35.000 copies / Massimo Pupillo plays with ZU the italian  legendary band that played more than 1000 concerts among the others with Mike Patton, Jim O’Rouke, Nobokazu Takemura, Melvins. Massimo plays also with Original Silence with Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth. / Chris Corsano has played drums in ‘Volta’ the last album of Bjork / David Chalmin is the guitar and singer of B for Bang an innovative project undertaken by Katia Labeque with famous guests as Patty Smith and Daniel Day Lewis. Track listing: 01  almost human, 02 the empire never ended, 03 hello tomorrow, 04 the martian chronicles 05 dr. Grimshaw's sanitorium, 06 beyond infinity

About the humble CD:

The CD is essentially a small portable face mirror which has an extra feature of being able to play music (through a thing known as a CD player). These CD's are a modern invention hence them being all shiny and digital. They can hold about 80 minutes of music and apparently are indestructible as you can smear jam on them and they still play (not as nourishing as toast mind you but when you're hungry.....). They sound crystal clear and are tiny convenient things. They lack the charm and warmth of their old analogue counterparts but their portability, convenience and ease of being duplicated make them a perfect thing of a thing for most folks. Jewel cases are the worst thing ever though and they really need to stop.

'I can see god damnit, I can see.'
