Misophone - Where Has it Gone, All the Beautiful Music of our Grandparents?

Where Has it Gone, All the Beautiful Music of our Grandparents? by Misophone

Misophone are S. Herbert and M.A Welsh and have been writing music for five years. In that time they have recorded hundreds of songs and are currently working on their 13th album. S is a classically trained musician who can play upwards of 20 instruments, M.A is a writer and artist who writes the lyrics and provides singing, banjo, found sounds and animal noises. Both are very fond of the use of kitchenalia and making new instruments out of old objects, and all material is self recorded and self produced. They recorded for three and a half years before playing any of the songs to anybody, but over the last year and a half have decided to share them with the world. Like Daniel Johnston, M.A started to hand out free copies of the albums to the customers in the off-licence he worked in for many years. There must be hundreds, maybe more, floating about Bristol, and some have somehow found their way to South America and the east of Poland. Through handing them out they have found an increasing cult following, a word of mouth affair. They have never played live.
