The Motifs - Matches EP

Matches EP by The Motifs

4...according to our on Thu 13 Dec, 2007.

The Motifs: 'Matches' (Wee Pop) A six track EP of twee tinkling, shiny, cute and naive pop. Maybe they should re-name the label Twee Pop, what with the short and sweet aesthetic, the simple-more is less dictum-that insures that the direct method of effecting ones audience is immediate. Most of the songs are backed by quiet guitar strum, drum presets and handclaps, chiming keyboards and generally a warm and welcoming vibe. If you like the twee pop histronics of Sarah Records or the pared down productions of Young Marble Giants then not only will you thrill to this, you'll probably own half of the Weepop catalogue.

Beautifully and dreamy, wispful and utterly enchanting - we're super proud to be releasing the latest work from The Motifs! Mostly recorded during her stay in Japan during the summer of 2007, featuring 6 brand new giddy-inducing songs of sublime pop!
