The Young Gods - L'eau Rouge

L'eau Rouge by The Young Gods

2008 sees the reissue of five classic albums from a band that are surely the very definition of ahead of their time’. Today’s generation need these albums.·Switzerland’s sampladelic rock trio The Young Gods first burst out in the late 1980’s, inspiring near religious fervour in fans and journalists alike. Alas, back then the world wasn’t ready for their hyperkinetic blend of riffing rock n roll, baroque-futurist samples and messianic vocals.·Following a flurry of activity the past couple of years – including the release of a very well received ‘Best Of’ compilation, a new album (‘Super Ready / Fragmente’) and the return of Franz and the guys to the live arena – perhaps the world is at last ready for The Young Gods.
