Early Evening/ Saving by It Hugs Back

It Hugs Back: 'Early Evening' (Too Pure) Mellow strum and tinkle with handclaps from the garden of England, this is so mellow it's like being curled up in front of roaring fire-toes just the right side of toastie...This is a pleasant enough effort, it just seems a little adult and, dare I say it, conservative. Maybe it's the trend these days for kids to do stuff their parents approve of. You could even take this home to yr granny. 7" only!

too pure are delighted to bring you their brand new
worldwide signing and the band to watch out for in
2008.

It Hugs Back hail from Kent but recall a tapestry of
far-flung influences as rich as their layered multi
instrumental sound….”a slight nod to My Bloody
Valentine  and Sonic Youth” (Rob Da Bank), hearty
chunks of skewed Lemon Head riffs and the pop-
hearted summer breeze of Pet Sounds.

‘Early Evening’ is It Hugs Back’s third single.
Their debut ‘Lights In The Trees’ won the coveted
‘Unsigned Classic’ accolade on Rob Da Bank’s
Radio 1 show and their second, ‘Carefully’, was
released on the band’s own label Safe & Sound in
September, following performances at Bestival and
End Of The Road festival.
