Ron who runs the fine Spirit Of Orr label dropped by and brought some upfront copies of the MV&EE Medicine Show 'The Uranian Ray' LP. Following Thurston Moore's and Magik Markers They were the latest band to make a more 'accessible' record on Ecstatic Peace and although I did really like a few tracks if I'm honest I was a little disappointed by that record. Fortunately this album has them at there most far out experimental, twisted and stoned sounding. Listening to this in the right environment will take you places. It combines the more trad folk elements with weird chimes and improve freakouts. The word psychedelic is so overused these days to describe music. The term truly applies to this music. It makes you think of bizarre rituals. Cool... It has me wanting to bust out an enourmous bong.

pressing on black vinyl.
