Worriedaboutsatan - EP 02

EP 02 by Worriedaboutsatan

Worriedaboutsatan: 'ep02' (self released) I'm worried about satan too...This five track ep from a local chap (just round the corner from the towers apparently!) is one part Fennesz (circa 'Paint It Black' cover) to one part 65 Days Of Static. Anthemic FX laden guitars and ambient tones wrestle with synthetic beats and vocals to conjure cinematic vistas populated by boys with guitars and computers in bedrooms. Well produced and crafted, whilst not adding anything radically new to the pantheon of guitars meets electronica projects that proliferate the globe, this collection will appeal to fans of the above mentioned artists/genres.

'EP02' is the brand new, six track EP from worriedaboutsatan.
following on from the bands first release, 2006's self titled collection released on you are not stealing records, 'EP02' has been a long time coming.

after record label troubles, touring pretty much non stop and finding the time to write and record, the EP has been in the works for over a year- being shaped, tweaked and processed for its eventual release this winter.

the EP is six tracks of post-rock, electronica, minimal techno and everything inbetween. recorded in a bedroom over a six month period and featuring a guest spot by acoustic singer/ songwriter paul marshall, it swerves viciously from ethereal reverb drenched atmospherics, to furious rushes of drums, before ending in a cerebral caterwaul of skyscraping noise.

mastered at the legendary transition studios (burial, kode9, et al) the EP is being released online by the band themselves, cutting out stifling record company politics.

as seen playing with bands as diverse as sweden's jeniferever, chicago's russian circles and warp records' chris clark, the band who comprise two friends and a beaten up computer are heading out to play sporadic shows to support the release of 'EP02'
