Anyone after a bit of cheese then look no further. Music De Wolfe Volume 1 LP on Megaphone Limited. This is 14 tracks of Music De Wolfe library Music ranging from some oom-papa cheese to some of the more lively funk sounds. The 1st track on side 2 (Sexy Sox) sounds just like some crap British 70's sitcom music. Great. I love a bit of cheese. Double album for you easy listening library music folks. Noice.

The De Wolfe Music Library (a.k.a. Music De Wolfe) was started in 1909 by Meyer De Wolfe to provide musical scores for silent movies but as the decades passed, the library quickly established a reputation for production music for both TV and radio. In the 70s, De Wolfe demonstrated their uniqueness from their rivals by employing a number of young and enthusiastic British composers, true musical innovators of their time, who all possessed the creativity and ability to experiment with new studio techniques and electronic instruments. Not surpisingly, music from the De Wolfe vaults has produced ample fodder for DJs, providing funky breaks, wailing horns, and groovy strings for many a hip-hop track or club mix. From the opening salvo of bongos and driving bass on Keith Papworth’s ‘Hard Hitter’ to the screaming horns that close out P. Kass’  ‘Sweet Destruction’, this thoroughly enjoyable 15 track collection of De Wolfe instrumental funk classics from the 60s and 70s is a relentless mix of driving beats, joyously swinging jazz, and cinematic funk.
