Moped Endo: 'Flaccid Handbrake' (Ampoule) It's those lads from Paisley again on the ever wonderful Ampoule imprint. Instead of Pub's lush ambient dreaming we get some 808 pre-set frenzy. This set is full of squelch, acidic lines, crunchy, bouncy beats and messed up noise, all on a classic late eighties Techno grid. What is also apparent is the keening, glacial and glistening washes, stuttering FX and fucked about programming that pushes and pulls the obvious sounding pre-sets across the soundfield. For the un-initiated, some of the sounds may come across as haphazard and random, needless to say, the flow is totally intentional; evoking the sound of a producer totally in tune with the mechanics of his machinery. Again not adding anything blisteringly new to the sub-techno blueprint but accomplished with aplomb.
