What the label says:

B12 Records was founded in 1990 by Mike Golding and Steve Rutter.
After releasing singles under such monikers as Redcell, Cmetric and Musicology the pair were snapped up by WARP RECORDS, featuring on the seminal ‘ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE’ series and releasing two albums, ‘Electro Soma’(1993) and ‘Time Tourist’ (1995) under the umbrella name B12. In 1996 they disappeared without trace.
When B12 Records released B1202 in 1992, Future Past ans As One were unknown artists. But this release was enough to make the residents of Detroit stand up and take notice. 15 years later Kirk Degiorgio , the man behind those names, continues to innovate with unique sounds and dancefloor friendly beats that defy categorisation.
On the A Side, ‘I Do Not Exist’ is a perfect example of Kirk’s talents. Twisted beats , beautiful strings and melodic keys combine to create a master work of futuristic funk, while on the flip B12 add an alternative mix which adds atmosphere and tension to this already powerful and uncomprimising track.
The final cut on this outstanding 21st Century Techno EP is a classic Degiorgio cut with beautiful chords and rhythms that describe a wonderful yet desolate landscape.
Coloured Vinyl version (B1218X) limited to 300 copies only. Black vinyl not limited.
Tracklist: A1 I DO NOT EXIST (ORIGINAL MIX) B1 I DO NOT EXIST (B12 ORIGINAL MIX) B2 ACCRETION.

About the humble 12":

The 12" is the big brother of records as it's an fatter version of the 7", with a vast scope for an array of remixes and B sides. They are slightly less portable their smaller inched brethren but they're by no means inferior. Often the grooves are spaced wider apart and thus sound much much better. You can fit ample tracks on and if worse comes to worse they make fine plates (should your crockery go awol). Yes, there's a hole but holes are easy to sort out. Once again they're available on many different colours and guises. The best thing about a 12" is the potential vastness of the artwork. Also playable on many speeds!!
