Wild Beasts - Assembly

Assembly by Wild Beasts

4...according to our on Thu 22 Nov, 2007.

Wild Beasts release their 1st single for Domino. What on earth can you say about this band?? The music is a quirky Chas & Dave singalong but the falsetto vocals are ludicrous.... I can't but help think of the the singer from The Darkness. It's operatic weirdness which you're either gonna love or hate.... There's bits of Gorky's in there. This is ridiculous.... It could be absolute genius I don't know. Marmite should sue them... 'Assembly' is 7" only thing.

Wild Beasts’ debut release on Domino is an absolutely joyous non-stop knee jerk expression of everything and anything forced through in a fully breached frenzy lasting less than three minutes. Like the traditional school hymn projected ten foot tall on the cement wall, but belted out bugger drunk in a backward Bethlehem, ‘Assembly’ is an unabashed assault on the middle ground.
The two tracks have been produced and remixed by talented Swede Tore Johansson, also known for having produced the very successful first Franz Ferdinand album.
•The B-side of the single features an original track ‘Sylvia, A Melodrama’, which is at haggard heart, a perfect miniature, a faultless machine that moves unturned towards the inevitable.
•The single will be available on heavyweight 7” vinyl in a deluxe gold print sleeve and also digital download
