Apparently 2007 has been the year of the synth in indie music.... I'm hoping in 2008 it stops cos indie and synths largely sounds shit in my book. Honestly... it really sounds rubbish. Here's Ineedtodiscover with 'Mix & Match' which is an energetic trawl through some fast paced indie rock... Only the rock has been replaced by a synth so it all sounds a bit cheesey and twee. Second release from Square Peg Round Hole's Singles Club comes from INEEDTODISCOVER who are a two-piece electro disco punk outfit from the cathedral city of Lincoln. Consisting of teenagers Colin Barstow (vox /guitar / keys / electronics) and Karina Lawrence (drums / vox / keys). Formed as recently as June 2007 the duo have already created a buzz on the live circuit with support slots with XXTeens, Goodbooks, The Whip, Bono Must Die & Late of The Pier.
