Lacrosse:'You Can't Say No Forever' (Tapete) My enthusiasm for awarding this delightful pure pop tune single of the week is immediately dashed as we contemplate getting our stock late once again. One part early Arcade Fire to one part Polyphonic Spree. It's all in the sing-a-long chorus and amazingly up beat feel. The sort of feelgood pop the Swede's are famous for exporting. If you like your pop easy, disposable, warm and cuddly then you can't fail to like this rather ace slice of modern day bliss. Twee and cute maybe, but we all need a bit of good loving sometimes. The album is good too. Well recommended.
Lacrosse is the new Swedish pop wonder - five boys and a girl playing direct and fantastic indie-pop songs. If you loved 'Sunflower' by the Beach Boys and the music of The Turtles, I'm From Barcelona, and The Lovin' Spoonful then you will fall in love again!
