Roy`s Iron DNA are based in Berwick, Edinburgh and Dundee, have a wide range of influences, and sound like taking drugs in the bath .The NME say “They have successfully blended musical ideas from the 60s the punk era right through to contemporary electronica and trip hop at it’s darkest. This is a very interesting band.”, while The Daily Record (Scotland) opines “This is music for toasting yourself after a heavy night in Ibiza.”, and Is This Music offers “A rougher slightly threatening Beta Band - heavy on the beats, strong on the air of mystery”. The hugely talented five-piece have also been championed by The Fly and Record Collector for their unique open-minded approach, and their two singles to date have both received considerable airplay on BBC Radio. In June, the band were XFM Scotland’s exposure showcase act, with DJ Jim Gellatly playing tracks from the album twice nightly for a week. More national radio exposure is lined up to coincide with the release of ‘Men In Wax Jackets’, including Album Of The Month on Vic Galloway’s BBC Scotalnd show, and the band will be touring as support to Low Fidelity Allstars in late November & early December. managed to grab a promo copy of this through a friend in the business.... fantastic... been waiting for these guys to release something for a while and it was worth the wait. Has depth and loads of singalong stick in your head type tunes.. Silent Majority is a cracking song! !
