One Little Indian are really pushing Asobi Seksu at the mo. Here's her new single featuring CSS, The Whip and Ulrich Schnauss mixes. It's called 'Strawberries' which you don't want to speak to me about this year... The cockahoop weather has completely arsed around with our strawberry patch this year and I've got no jam. This reminds me of that and consequently gets me off on the wrong foot. This is some nice jangly indie pop which is part Cocteau's, part My Bloody Valentine, part Japanese tweeness... you get the picture. The mixes are awful though. CSS make some naff electro pop.... The Whip create some bad house mix and Ulrich Schnauss may as well change his name to the Cocteau Twins and have done with it. Decent lead track though so instead of burning your bras you can always burn your B sides....
