Reverend And The Makers - Open Your Window. (on Wall of sound) Its hard to find anything remotely interesting to say about this song… I mean at least with there last single you could say it was catchy?! The only thing I could think of when I heard this mainstream, indie/techno tune was that it sounded like an 80's version of Kasabian. But if you want a more honest comparison to this song then just go to the nearest toilet and flush it repeatedly for 3 or 4 minutes. (You could do a big Eartha in there too - Ant x)Reverend & The Makers have already had an extraordinary year; releasing their debut single at the end of May which sold close onto 100,000 copies, following that with the infuriatingly catchy ‘He Said He Loved Me’ and then sailing into the upper regions of the album chart with their debut album ‘The State Of Things’, Reverend & The Makers have established themselves as one of the most exciting acts of the year. The single comes backed with two exceptionally good B sides in the upbeat ‘Dear Lydia’ and haunting ‘Paris At Night’, and is topped off with a cracking club mix from alternative dance producer du jour Jagz Kooner. The band are currently in the middle of a heavily sold out tour of the UK, and they’ll be playing more dates before the year’s over.
