The Acute - Secret Shame

Secret Shame by The Acute

Edinburgh trio The Acute formed in late 2004 through a mutual hatred of apathy and indifference. Never wanting to be an average band who shuffle on stage and make alright songs, they spent almost a year honing their sound in the studio to build up an arsenal of powerful tunes before playing their first show at the end of 2005.

Despite having little more than a few tunes on Myspace
for fans to feast on, The Acute have built up an army of
loyal followers including XFM DJ Jim Gellatly and BBC6 Music's Phil Jupitus, not to mention a certain little Welsh band...

They played T in the Park 2006, have packed out Simon Price’s Stay Beautiful club night in London on a couple of occasions, and have spent most of 2007 in the studio preparing the perfect debut album.

Their debut single, 'Secret Shame' (Merdoc Records) will be released on October 8, and will be supported by a UK tour.
