The Trembling Blue Stars have a new single which is of course a complete janglefest of the highest order.... a few bars in and I'm thinking Amelia Fletcher already. This is proper indie pop music.... none of that manufactured shite which comes out in droves week in and week out. Sincere and heartfelt this is the real thing. It's hugely twee though so I'd probably avoid this if you're looking for a new band to replace your Big Black fetish. But those Sarah/ Field Mice loving folks will be more than happy with this. 4 Tracks on the CD... 2 on the 7" and you (annoyingly) need both formats to get the tracks which is some shameful fleecing that I wouldn't have expected from Elefant/ TBS. What the label says: Limited edition WHITE VINYL ..Limited edition 1000 copies worldwide. The 7" has a radio edit version and a new version of "Say Goodbye To The Sea" original version of "Say Goodbye To The Sea" was on "the last holy writer" album. Tracklist: 01. About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
