Johnny Panic - The Good Fight

The Good Fight by Johnny Panic

Repeat Records has been a leading light on the underground music scene for ten years now, and now release a single and album with Johnny Panic,
whose mix of energy, great songs, hooks and looks is the perfect partner for a Manics-inspired fanzine. Influenced by The Clash, Guns n Roses and
the early American punk scene, in 2005 Johnny Panic released their debut 'The Violent Dazzling', an album of stadium sized hooks and melodies wrapped around concerns of mental health, prostitution, drugs and prisoners of conscience. And with the new album Johnny Panic are about to come out fighting again (front man Rob Solly is actually a professional martial arts competitor!). After playing at this years SXSW festival, the band embarked on the recording of their second album, appropriately called 'The Good Fight', with Biffy Clyro and Therapy? producer Chris Sheldon producing and mixing. One hell of a comeback, it's the sound of a band hitting the ground running. Rob's lyrics are once again a mixture of the personal and the political, and musically the album is broader that its predecessor and, along with the aforementioned influences, The Stooges, Green Day and Morrissey get at least a nod.
