If only Ant was here I could give him the Super Furry Animals single to review cos their Welsh and he is. It's a bit of a non hilarious joke I have which I'm sure will end up with me lying face down in a pool of my blood at some point. I wasn't made keen (how keen can you make yourself ?, or are you just born that way hahaha- Mings) on their album but this 'Run Away' tune is a bit good. It's well Phil Spector... add a dash of The Ronettes and this could be completely wrong but for some reason I can't shake ELO out of my head. Probably not a good thing but Out of The Blue was a top album. Great pop music this... 7" picture disc only...

RUN-AWAY IS THE SECOND SINGLE TO BE TAKEN FROM THE SUPER FURRY ANIMALS’ LATEST AND HIGHLY ACCLAIMED ALBUM, HEY VENUS!. A CLEAR STAND OUT FROM THE GET-GO AND DRAWING FRUITFUL PRAISE FROM MANY AN LP REVIEW, IT BOASTS A CHORUS WORTHY OF ANY HOME STEREO, FESTIVAL SOUNDSYSTEM OR RADIO PLAYLIST.
“’RUN-AWAY’, A REGRETFUL ADMISSION OF RELUCTANCE TO CONFRONT TROUBLESOME SITUATIONS, IS A FINE PIECE FEATURING THE SPECTOR-ESQUE DYNAMIC OF RHYS’S HARMONIES TUMBLING THROUGH THE CHORUS, OVER A BLOCK OF DECLAMATORY DRUMS, TAMBOURINE, PERCUSSION AND MASSED GUITARS.”
