Blood Red Shoes
I Wish I Was Someone Better

This record left our Mingus Rude feeling unmoved.
Blood Red Shoes: 'I Wish I Was Someone' (V2) Golly gosh there's loads of girls fronting spiky power pop groups these days, not to mention the plethora of folk strummers. This is a right angry racket full of full-on, full throttle guitars and pounding beats, angsty lyrics with issues to air. Maybe the Riot Girl movement's legacy surfaced twofold this century instead of the last.
