Pyramids - Pyramids

Pyramids by Pyramids

The Pyramids are a couple of guys from Archie Bronson Outfit. Here's their self titled debut album which rocks along like no ones business. 10 tracks of filthy dirty blues inspired rock. It's scuzzy, sludgey sounding with it's heart in punk and it's infinitely better than anything I've heard by Archie Bronson Outfit 'n all. At times I'm reminded of Savage Republic for some reason.... Maybe than reason is cos it sounds a bit like them? Hey it's really anyones guess.

The Pyramids are S Windett (vocals/guitar) and Arp (drums) from Archie Bronson Outfit who, whilst in sessions for the impressive second Archies’ album ‘Derdang Derdang’, felt a craving to crank out some darker, heavier, nastier tracks - The Pyramids were born.
Recorded on an old 16-track in a makeshift studio in a barn deep in the British countryside, and written in just one week, the resulting sound has an unmistakable sense of urgency and rawness that grabs the listener by the neck and demands you pay attention. The takes captured on the album were often the duo’s second or third run through the song in question.
