What the label says:Debut 12 from producer & engineer Eric Broucek, studio right-hand-man to DFA and touring member of The Juan Maclean, who has worked on nearly every DFA-related production in the last five years. ‘Keep On Move’ centers on a relentless dirty groove that carries dubbed out vocal chants, sweaty analogue melodies, and squelchy proto-techno bass. The alternate club version Six-Leg Friend mix adds propulsive pumping rhythms, subby bass guitar and deep effected textures. Heavily inspired by the hyperreal sounds of disco, dub and early synthesizer music, Stickydisc exists as a vehicle for Eric’s new and original productions, and ‘Keep On Move’ is only the beginning. The original mix already appears on James Murphy’s ‘Fabriclive 36’ mix, and the remix is featured on Tim Sweeney's ‘Beats In Space’. |
