Manic Cough have a great 7" out on Purr. 'Eggs and Chips' is its name and it's all about what us Brits have for breakfast on our holidays. This is one of the most endearing and charming 7"'s I've heard in a long long time. The lead track is about a minute long and it has more attitude than almost everything else we're selling this week put together. Also anything which gets, eggs, chips and weetabix on the same line gets thumbs up from me. This is proper good indie rock and I totally recommend it!Brand new ltd heavyweight 7" from Purr - 500 only.
Annie (vox),
Delia (bass), Karl (drums) and Sabi (guitar) make up the punker
quartet. Heading from beautiful Slough, minxy Maidenhead, Holy Herne
Hill
and 'swinging' London, they've played with The Slits, The Hot Puppies,
Pete And The Pirates... have been played on Radio One And Six and had
some nice reviews (see below).
"Manic Cough are a glam rock Wizzard
as seen through X Ray Spex. Go and see them before they decide to come
and see you." – Sounds XP
"Shimmering with punk-art charm." – Artrocker
"Whoa!
is that what Brighton's Manic Cough sound like now? "Lips And Hips" is
similar to prime Bratmobile or ZuZu's Petals." - Everett True, Plan B
