Kingsize - The Daze

The Daze by Kingsize

3...according to our on Thu 11 Oct, 2007.

Weekender Records have chirpy single out by Kingsize who are a London band that make us think of a less shambolic Libertines. It's fairly commercial indie rock . I struggled with words to write about this so Phil told me to write ' if you like this kind of thing you'll be singing it on the way back from the pub while you're clubbing peoples faces off.' Incidentally here's a link worth checking where a band member of The Disciplines (also on Weekender) chose to attack my character which we all found highly amusing.

Kingsize          London based good time rock 'n' rollers and recent stars of Club OMH Kingsize are a hybrid of the best parts of your record collection.Mixing the urgency and grit of modern collectives like The Libertines and Razorlight with the pop sensibilities of bands of yesteryear like The Kinks, The Beatles and The Clash, they create a hugely raw, rocking and tuneful noise that's just waiting to soundtrack your lives.

THIS IS THE BANDS SECOND SINGLE, WITH THE FIRST VERY NEAR TO SELLING OUT. A VERY YOUNG BAND BASED OUT OF LONDON, THEY HAVE PLAYED THE SMALLER LONDON VENUES HEAVILY TO BUILD A LOYAL FANBASE. STEVE HARRIS (XFM MUSIC RESPONSE) TIPPED THEM AS HIS BREAKTHROUGH ACT OF 2007
