 This record left our Bill feeling happy.
I loved that last Prefuse 73 tune. I reckon his new album
'Preparations' is a return to form for the man they call Heron. Bang it
on and it really couldn't be anyone else. After just one minute you
know it's Prefuse....that organic warmth and melody coupled with the
hip hop/ soul infused electronica. It's well earthy and the best thing
he's done since 'Vocal Studies and Uprock' album. The melody surges
through like no one's business/ It includes that duffer from Battles
and School of Seven Bells 'n all so it's an all star cast I think
you'll find! It's an extremely comprehensive and enjoyable listen from
start to end. Great... the guy's a genius. Also there's a bonus disc
called 'Interregnums' which is included with both formats. This is a
stand alone album of his classical meanderings which all seem to
feature the same sort of warmth you find in his more beaty gear. Quite
fantastic.
