Cyberdon EP by Mystic Institute

Techno fiends will be lapping up the current re-issuing of the Evolution back catalogue. It seems there's a huge amount of interest in early UK techno/ artificial intelligence electronics with the Black Dog's back catalogue also seeing the light of day after being... Anyway the 6th release in the labels history was by Mystic Institute (Mark Pritchard and Paul Kent). The Cyberdon EP has mixes from Reload and Global Communication both of which were Mark Pritchard with Tom Midlleton before he went a bit rubbish. I'd head straight for the B-side which hints at what the duo would create a year later with their ambient masterpiece '76:14'Ace to see this gem from 1993 back in print.

The Reload and Global Communications remixes of tracks originally released as Mystic institute. Some amazing productions by Mark Pritchard and Tom Middleton which sounds still as fresh and exciting as almost 15 years ago. Especially the Global Communication 'Ob-selon Minos' is such an amazing piece of music!! Smooth melodies with incredibly beautiful sounds really seduce the listener to go thru this 15 minute journey... and even that seems like only 3 minutes when they are over. Essential!
