The Dragons - Lonely Tonight

Lonely Tonight by The Dragons

LONELY TONIGHT is the new single/EP from Bristol based princes of dark melody and pounding, hypnotic rhythm DRAGONS. Released on October 15th it is the third single to be taken from their acclaimed debut album Here Are The Roses. The album is an exhilarating display of the bands songwriting prowess and musicianship. Conjuring up at once both incredible beauty and an underlying nightmarish, stark quality - with Anthony Tombling Jr’s vocals matched at every sweeping turn by David Francolini’s slow-burning ferocity on drums.  With a flurry of great reviews and support at radio from the likes of XFM (Clint Boon session and play list additions) RADIO 2 (Mark Radcliffe, Marc Riley and Janice Long) 6MUSIC (Tom Robinson live session) all supporting the single to date. Some sublime remixes appear on the EP. Ulrich Schnauss (Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Mojave 3) brings his trademark dreamy electronic sound to a reworking of Remembrance. Def E aka Ewen Macneil (Faithless, Inxs, Mint Royale, Nina Simone) adding a stomping house and glitch edge to Lonely Tonight – which is currently going down a storm in clubs across Europe. Pylon King also sprinkles Lonely Tonight with some sprawling, expansive magic.“Sheer energy, sincerity and guile keep the momentum high with exhilarating results. The title track is an instant nocturnal anthem”  4/5 Uncut Magazine“Here are the roses is a microcosm of dark dreams and powerful imagery, written with a skill you rarely bare witness to. An exquisite record”.  Playmusic"for some melancholy is a way of life, for Dragons it's an artform"  5/5 Drummer  Magazine "post-punk that haunts the soul"  8/10  Metal Hammer Magazine
