Night Falls over Kortedala by Jens Lekman

1...according to our on Sat 19 Jan, 2008.

one of the worst records i've heard in my entire life. abysmal lyrics, the guy just can't write songs  - not a clue. the manilow comparison is apt but these melodies that make ol big nose sound like napalm death. for proper easy listening retro bacharach 70's type stuff try the high llamas clan cladders. not perfect but a lot bloody better than this.

“If you haven’t heard Jens Lekman yet, you’re missing out on one of the true pop geniuses of the 2000s” - All Music GuideJen Lekman’s first album in over three years, ‘Night Falls Over Kortedala’ is his best album to date and features many previously unreleased live favourites. “Lekman is often compared to Stephen Merritt, Morrissey, Jonathan Richman and Belle & Sebastian. All of these comparisons are dead on, and Lekman is worthy of the kind of slobbering devotion slathered on these artists” - Pitchfork.    His previous records have sold over 20,000 copies worldwide.
