M.I.A's single 'Jimmy' is like a bollywood take on Abba. Sounds like a terrible, horrendous possibility but it does actually work. 7" picture disc with her crazy neon street collage artwork. Fun Fun Fun. CD and 12" too!! What the label says: ‘Jimmy’ is the first single proper to be taken from M.I.A.’s second album, ‘Kala’. This is M.I.A. at  her most pop. She’s on top of things, not scared to be different and back with Power! Power!

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
