I don't think we've ever reviewed anything by Levy before... I've never heard anything by 'em til now.... we get a lot of records in each week and time is always of the essence. Here's 'Glorious' anyway which I'd have to say is a great indie pop anthem. Anthem being the key word here as it melds together parts of James and The Lightning Seeds and some other tweeness to make a big indie pop anthem. His voice sounds a bit like Julian Cope as well.... well it does on these shit computer speakers....NEW YORK TROUBADOUR GOES WONDERFULLY POP. JAMES LEVY HAS DITCHED THE BAND TO WHICH HE GAVE HIS NAME FOR HIS 2005 DEBUT, THE SNAPPY ANGST-LADEN ROTTEN LOVE. LEVY CAME UP THROUGH THE ANTI-FOLK NEW YORK SCENE THAT BRED REGINA SPEKTOR. HE SINGS LIKE JULIAN COPE BACKED BY COLDPLAY!!.
