HAPPILY, AS BEFITS A BAND POISED TO ROCKET OUT OF THE ROCK UNDERGROUND 'THE BEIJING COCKTAIL' COMES ARMED WITH A VARIETY OF FORMATS AND B-SIDES, INCLUDING THE EXCLUSIVE RECORDING OF THE LIVE FAVOURITES 'WILD NIGHTS & FIST FIGHTS' AND 'GO BURN CITY HALL' AND A COUPLE OF CHOICE COVER VERSIONS IN LIMP BIZKIT'S 'MY GENERATION' AND FAITH NO MORE'S 'THE GENTLE ART OF MAKING ENEMIES'.
SINCE BEING VOTED SECOND BEST UNSIGNED BAND (AFTER GALLOWS) BY THE READERS OF KERRANG! LAST YEAR, THE BOYS HAVE BEEN BUSY WRITING AND SPENT JUNE 2007 IN LONGWAVE STUDIOS IN CARDIFF WORKING WITH CLOSE ALLY RAMESH DODANGODA. THE END RESULT IS AN ENVIABLY TIGHT COLLECTION OF ROCK MONSTER MELODIC MELTDOWNS, BLASTED BY SERIOUS METAL RIFFAGE AND BURSTING AT THE SCREAMS WITH EXUBERANT HOOKS.

Really well put together rock format - great, simple but effective main riff and good vocal melody. They are great at creating dynamic in their arrangements. There's no doubt this a great band - but are they going to be legendary?

I was really looking forward to hearing the first single of the blackout debut album, but i have to say, i was very dissapointed with the out come.

It sounds like a lame rip off of their other hit single 'I'm a Riot, You're a F***ing Riot'.

So overall i gave this 2/10
