Crash My Model Car - In Dreams

In Dreams by Crash My Model Car

TRACKLISTING: CD 1 In Dreams, 2 Walking Sideways, 3 Tip Toe,
OVERVIEW: Crash My Model Car return with the first single taken from their forthcoming debut album. For those who may have missed their sell out debut "Maybe" EP released in December last year, a quick recap.... Singer/guitarist Iain Morrison grew up on the remote Hebridean Island of Lewis. The son of a world-renowned bagpipe player, he was born into a musical family and quickly developed an interest in traditional Scottish music, but as a teenager he bought his first guitar and his head was turned… "I had to sneak it into the house because the old man considered it a foreign instrument. One day he heard me playing and he went off his head. He didn't speak to me for about a week". Iain eventually moved from Lewis to Glasgow where he tried to find some like-minded souls. All the while Morrison developed an armoury of great indie pop songs. Crash My Model Car were born and soon found one of their album demos featured on the fleetingly de rigeur teen soap "The OC". Signed to Manchester based independent label My Dad Recordings, their debut EP was released and promptly sold out on the back of glowing reviews and formidable live shows all over the UK. Since the EP the band have been holed up recording their debut album (soon to see the light of day) as well as a couple of small live dates - Glastonbury and Wireless festivals. The three tracks on the EP showcase the multi-faceted nature of the band. The beautiful harmonies and windswept feel of the title track, the Sub-Pop stompings and stylings of "Walking Sideways" and the aching beauty of "Tip Toe" give the EP a breadth of sound that's hard to match in the current musical climate.
